It has been quite a while since I've posted one of my Parenting Flashcards! I don't know how you mothers who work full time do it! Sometimes I feel like I can hardly keep my feet under myself! Anways, here is today's term:
play date n: a parentally arranged social get-together for two or more children, sometimes coinciding with adult assembly for the purposes of friendship, support, and consumption of alcoholic beverages - see also: sharing, hair-pulling, biting, three-martini playdate
used in a sentence: Just because it's called a playdate doesn't mean it's fun.
Hopefully your playdates are fun! What do you think? Are playdates more for you or your kids?
