I think these are really neat! I had never seen them before! You can get lunch boxes, bags, aprons, mats and more that have surfaces you can write on! I really like the striped crayon apron above! The other picture is of a mat with a chalkboard surface on the inside. It comes with chalk too so you can take it with you when you're out and about so your little one will stay occupied! You can shop Doodlebugz Crayola until Wednesday morning at 6am!

A Lesson In Contentment

So this isn't a deal or anything that will save you money, but it's something that has been on my mind a lot recently!
In this day and age with everything going on around you, it can be hard to find contentment, especially as a mother! Pinterest can make you feel like you're not crafty enough, the media can make you feel like you're not trendy enough, stores can make you feel like you don't have enough money, commerials can make you feel like you're not skinny enough, and that's not mentioning movies, magazines, online articles, facebook and so much more!
So I challenge myself with this question often as I'm walking my dogs to the park: Am I content right now? I find that this question helps me keep the important things in my life in check. What are the important things? Right now for me it's really just God, family relationships, being a good wife and mother, and friends. If the answer to my question is "no," then I examine why I'm not feeling content. Often it's something that seems a little silly such as I don't have our apartment decorated as nicely as the houses in magazines or I don't have enough money to go buy myself a new spring wardrobe.
After I've determined why I'm not feeling content, I focus on re-establishing a new attitude. I direct my thoughts to the many wonderful things and people in my life. I know that God loves me and has a purpose for my life. I have a wonderful husband who would do anything for me. I have a healthy and happy beautiful baby girl that I get to spend my days with. I have shelter over my head. I can turn a heater on when I'm cold and the AC on when I'm hot. I have more than enough good food to eat and clean water to drink. I have friends who care about me to hang out with when I'm feeling lonely. What more could I ask for?
So what would you say if someone asked you if you're content? I hope you could truthfully answer "yes!"
