Mid-Week Munchies: Fun Cupcakes!



Who doesn't love a good cupcake? They're even better when they have fun decorations like the bright fishies above! These would be perfect for a pool birthday party! I decided to post a few of the fun cupcakes I've pinned on Pinterest plus some others! Side note: Anyone ever watch Cupcake Wars on The Food Network? I love that show!

I love The Very Hungry Caterpillar! Maybe one day I'll have a Very Hungry Caterpillar birthday theme so I have a good excuse to make this!

There are so many cute cupcake ideas! This makes me want to go whip up a batch but we still have leftover scraps from the birthday cake (see here) I made last weekend!

My baby girl's first cold!

My sweet, precious, beautiful baby girl has her first cold! :( It's really not that bad though! I'm thankful that we've made it almost 8 months without getting sick! Yesterday, I noticed that her nose was running and by the time I put her to bed at night she was sort of congested. Poor baby didn't sleep well at all last night, which means poor mama didn't either! She woke up coughing about every 1-2 hours. I had to suction her nose, but thankfully she fell asleep again quickly each time. It has been the same with naps today. She just can't sleep very long without her nose bothering her.

So, it's really not that bad. She doesn't have a fever or sneeze and doesn't seem to have a sore throat or anything. She just has some congestion which makes it hard for her to breathe while she's sleeping. Thankfully, she still has her same 'ole joyful attitude!

Any advice for dealing with a congested baby? This is new territory for me!
