I'm probably going to wait a couple more months before introducing my baby girl to meat, but I was browsing through Naturally Healthy First Foods for Baby by Jacqueline Rubin, and found some recipes I'm excited to try!
Chicken, Sweet Potato, and Brown Rice
Chicken and turkey are rich in protein, B vitamins, and zinc to supercharge your baby.
- 1/2 cup cooked cubed chicken (the chicken can be boiled or steamed in small amount of water)
- 1 cooked sweet potato
- 1/2 cup cooked brown rice cereal
- 1/4 cup applesauce
Save a little water from the sweet potato to add for liquid, or use breast milk or formula, if needed.
