Share a Funny Potty Story and Win $10,000!

Have a toilet confession to make? Share your story and Clorox may give you $10,000! Plus, just for entering you will get a $1 coupon! There are four catergories you can enter in: my family and the bathroom, potty training, bathroom embarassment, technology and the bathroom. You have until June 26th to share your story. Then, there will be a series of juding and voting.

Surely, most of you have a great story! I've got one to share, but I won't on here because I don't want to embarass my husband! :) Feel free to share on here and your husband never needs to know (if it's about him)! I'm always game for some good laughs!

Two Great Sites: Zulily & Totsy

I used to browse Zulily and Totsy every day and post some of the best deals I found, but I just don't seem to have time any more! They are great sites for finding hugely reduced items for your baby or kids, yourself and your home!

They both work in pretty much the same way. They run sales events that last three days. They do not stock the items for sale, they basically advertise for the store and you purchase the store's items through Zulily or Totsy. Tons of new sales events start everyday. You can get discounts up to 90%! I've seen a lot of baby, toddler and children's clothing for around $5 or less! You can also get women's clothing, shoes and maternitiy wear. You can often find books, movies, kitchen gadgets, home decor and more! Sorry guys, there's not much for you!

I just wanted you to be aware of these sites because I don't have time every day to do the browsing for you!

    Parenting Flashcard #25

    Parenting Flashcards

We're half way through my stack of 50 parenting flashcards!

    Today's term: guncle

guncle n: a term of endearment for a male gay family friend who is viewed as an honorary family member or godparent and who is expected to provide baby gifts over the years - see also: gayfather, gayby boom, drunkle

Used in a sentence: "How dare you speak to me that way! I'm your guncle!"

Never heard of this one! I hope it's not too politically uncorrect!

    FREE Weekend Events

Sorry, I didn't get much posted yesterday! Two nights ago I had a rough night with my baby girl! She would NOT go to bed! She didn't go down for good until 11. Then, she woke up crying and crying and crying at about 3 in the morning. We ended up sleeping together on the couch until about 6am. My mom is visiting from Alaska so we went for a jog in the morning, then spent most of the day shopping. When we got home, I cooked dinner then crashed at 9. Needless to say, I was exhausted!

My weekend is pretty booked (farmer's market, race packet pick-up, and swimming in the lake today, then race on Sunday), but here are some FREE or super cheap events this weekend if you don't have anything going on!
    • Storytime at Barnes and Noble, Saturday, 11a.m.
    • There are several Make-it, Take-its at Michaels, but they're only for adult crafts, nothing for the kiddos :(
What are your plans this weekend?
